RUSSELL JAMES BOHANICK OBITUARY
Russell James Bohanick passed away peacefully in the afternoon of March 12, 2019. Born in Pensacola May 2nd 1957, he was the 6th of 8 sons of Katie Sue Bohanick and the late Leo Bohanick.
Rusty graduated from Shenandoah Valley High School, Pennsylvania, class of 1976. After high school Rusty enlisted in the Air Force and served as an aircraft mechanic at McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey. Upon his honorable discharge he earned an Associates Degree in accounting from McCann School of Business, Mahonoy City, PA. Rusty also worked in various fields, including as a concrete batch superintendent, a millwright, a picture framer, and a commercial driver.
Rusty enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and traveling all over the United States.
He is preceded in passing by brothers Gary and David. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a son, Nathan (Gwyneth), granddaughters Sierra and Ally, Tamaqua, PA ; 5 brothers, Leo Ronald (Linda), Kent, WA, Joseph, Tucson, AZ, Ben (Charlotte), Lucedale, MS, Brian Randall (Lisa), Mt. Joy, PA, Jeffrey, Shenandoah, PA , sisters-in-law Angela, Helena, MS and Charlotte, Wernersville, PA, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rusty is remembered for his clever wit and laughter, and especially for his love of and dedication to family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 16th at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 6760 East Gate Road, Milton FL. Rev Ben Bohanick will officiate.
