I love to visit cemeteries. It gives me a feeling of closeness to relatives and loved ones. It’s a place to sit and reflect on their lives and the effect their lives have on me being who I am. But times are changing.
Cremation is becoming the preferred alternative. And yes cremated remains are being buried in cemeteries, but more and more, cremated remains are being scattered alongside a favorite lake, ocean, camping or hiking spot. Which begs the question, how will descendants find these cremated remains so they too can sit next to them and thank loved ones for the part they played in their lives? Unless someone creates a permanent record, the location will be lost with time.
This website is a place where one can create a permanent easy-to-find record of the exact location of scattered cremated remains including remains scattered over multiple locations.
This website is for those of us whose ashes will be returned to nature and want to provide our descendants with a place where they can be close to a relative or loved one.
